National Suicide Prevention Hotline

Resource: National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
24-hour national hotline that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.  Lifeline supports languages spoken by refugees and other vulnerable populations. Interpretation services by phone are available at no cost to the caller.

Investigation of Bhutanese Refugee Suicides in U.S.

Report describes the study design and findings of an investigation into suicides that occured from 2009-2012 among Bhutanese resettled refugees in the U.S.  Comments and questions about the report can be submitted to the RHTAC Community Dialogue and will be answered by the study team.

New National Strategy for Suicide Prevention updates previous strategy that was created in 2001.  The new strategy calls upon everyone to watch for suicide warning signs and reach out to prevent suicide.
